Discover what will make

your life worthwhile

Hello there! I'm Cherice Poole, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a heart set on being a dedicated resource on the journey of caregiving. If you find yourself navigating the twists and turns of supporting your loved ones through medical challenges and embarking on a new chapter, I'm here to walk beside you with understanding, unwavering support and a little bit of humor.

Life has an uncanny way of throwing us curveballs, doesn't it? As a caregiver, you're not just orchestrating care, you're constantly adjusting to new changes while trying to maintain your balance.

Here at Value in Therapy, I've made it my mission to make it easier.  To bring resources when you are uncertain, to help you understand how this journey can unfold, and to help you take care of yourself while you are taking care of everyone else.

This period of life can bring so many complex emotions; grief, loss, and overwhelm. At the same time, it will teach you the art of creating a fresh start. With a lifelong passion for counseling, I've developed a holistic approach to empowering individuals just where they need it most.  From bridging generational gaps to guiding you through the maze of emotions, I've created a unique way to support children, adults, seniors, and families in finding their balance and crafting fulfilling lives.

Fueled by helping my clients make positive changes in their lives, my lifelong passion for counseling has lent itself to assisting children, adults, seniors, and families overcome life challenges, leading to a healthy and fulfilling life. I believe in taking a holistic approach to tackling life events, and have maintained a practice built on honesty, dignity, and respect.

I founded the Value in Therapy practice to serve as an avenue for compassionate healing. I’m an advocate for the well-being of my clients, and a supporter of their life ambitions. Throughout my experience, I’ve assisted in the management and recovery of grief, depression, aging, stress, anxiety, conflict in relationships, life transitions, and more.

I’m committed to continuing education and research, and implement a wide-range of evidence based approaches to help my clients succeed. In addition to my ongoing commitment to discovering modern behavioral science techniques, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grambling State University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Certification in Gerontology from Kennesaw State University.
